Have just seen this film and was a wee bit disappointed, strangely unmoved by Fiennes/Butler but enjoyed Brian Cox and the manipulative Vanessa Redgrave. Worst bit for me was right at the start with the repeated sound of a knife being sharpened against a stone, those are the kind of noises that drive me up the wall. Have to admit, didn’t quite catch all of the dialogue or follow all the plot points, especially on the political side and thought the supposedly homo-erotic man-wrestling was much better done by Ken Russell in Women in Love. Maybe a 3/5
